The Mid-Florida Mustang Club is the Central Florida contingent of the Mustang Club of America, which is headquartered in Pensacola;
we are “governed” locally by a President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and an eleven member Board of
Directors. MFMC monthly activities include; the monthly general membership meeting. This happens on the first Wednesday of the
month at 7:00pm, see above meeting location schedule. We have two cruises, the first cruise in is on the second Saturday
of every month at Bob Evans (385 SR436 Fern Park) starting just before dusk. The second
cruise is on the third Saturday of every month at the Bob Evans Restaurant in Orange City (Saxon Blvd and I-4) from 6pm to 9pm. Decisions are made at the Board of Director’s meeting, which is held on the last Thursday of the month at 6:30pm at Don Reid Ford in Maitland.
At the general meeting we discuss the business of the club, announce items of interest to the membership, and
take advantage of an opportunity to socialize and talk about anything in general, and Mustangs in particular. We
usually have a guest speaker who addresses a subject associated with car care and restoration. Many of us arrive
early to have dinner together and visit a little before the meeting. The meeting itself is 1-½ hours, socializing
usually continues out in the parking lot.
The Saturday night “Cruise-Ins” are a gathering of classic and modern Mustangs in addition to any other car that
wishes to join in. We have a Disc Jockey playing a wide variety of music. There is a 50/50 drawing and several
prize give always during the evening. It is a great social gathering where we visit with old friends and make new
ones, give and receive information about Mustangs, and solicit help if we are going to undertake a big project or
one where we just need a little skill and knowledge assistance. The primary purpose of the “Cruise-Ins” is FUN!
Our second Saturday night "Cruise-In" is located at the Bob Evans Restaurant in Deltona. This is located
just off the I-4 exit. Come out for Dinner at a great restaurant and make new friends and catch up with others!
There is great music, 50/50 drawing and door prizes during the cruise.
The Board of Director’s meeting is a straightforward business meeting where we plan future events, track
current events, and take care of the financial aspects of the club. (We are a non-profit organization but we do
have expenses). This meeting is open to ALL MFMC members.
Other regular events include car shows at Waterford Shopping Center in February, Cruisers for Kids in March,
and Hooters Orlando in September, a club picnic or two each year, Road Rallies, Race Nights, and a Holiday party
in December.
Our bi-monthly newsletter, The Horse’s Mouth, keeps those who do not or cannot regularly attend club functions
current on what is going on, provides interesting information to all members, advertise upcoming events, and
reports on the results of just passed events.
MFMC annual dues are currently $20.00 per year for MCA members; ALL new members are suggested to join the MCA,
whose annual dues are currently $30.00. MFMC dues are pro-rated during the year of joining. Membership is open
to all Mustang enthusiasts or owners regardless of year, or model. All memberships are family memberships
including the member, spouse, and dependent children 18 years of age and younger.
